 Howdy pard's

I got a lot of feedback after the WB match at DOT, most good and some constructive
and that's why we have opened up this WB section

we'd like to make this section a place where we can talk WB
your dream stage
the stages you hate ( not so fun in your opinion )
stages you'd like to see
concistency from WB match directors regarding rules, what's alowed or not, whitch direction we'd like this game to go
and the ultimate - when will we have a 12 stage WB match

go wild my friends and tell us what you want from your next wild buch match

NO we will not give you the phantome category (gunfigther)  Grin

 Huh
Ok, I can live without the Fantomen category. Clothing would get too ridiculous. But what about Desperado instead of Fantomen?

But some thought about WB stages, how I would like them...

Pistol use 3-4 magazines in stages, say half of the match's stages use 3, half 4. More pistol is of course more fun, but its a bit awkward to carry for instance 6-7 magazines to the line. At least with my waist, 4 magazine pouches fit, but no more if adhering the rule that the magazines are on opposite side of the body than the pistol is. I like to have at least one extra magazine with me, in case of feeding problems or similar...

Pistol sequence could be divided into  different sequences, at least if round count is 20. It gets a bit booring to shoot 4 nevada sweeps in a row at same three targets. Instead, two sweeps in targets A1-3 and move a few steps to another position, and shoot another pistol sequence there. To avoid too much brain stress, maybe same sequence, but different target group. And of course 20 shots don't need to be all after each other, 10 first, then rifle/shotgun in between, maybe another shooting position, then the 10 last of the pistol. Tables/surfaces for staging pistol are of course needed.

Regarding target distances...
Pistol targets can be a bit further down range than usually revolver targets on main match are, to emphasise accuracy a bit more. Dump targets I don't feel like belong to WB. Double/Triple taps are ok, but no big dump targets to throw 20 shots at asap.

Shotgun targets, 5-6 on each stage, on some stages even more!

Rifle targets, pretty much the same as on main match, no specialties there. 8-10 rounds, 3-5 targets, some easily remembered shooting sequence.

On DoT, I was glad to see so many WB shooters dressed  really up to the movie! I'll have to do some work on that myself! As long as the WB game is pretty much tied to same persons attending CAS main matches, I don't see a point in arranging a separate WB match. If being a separate match it probably would  have a negative effect on the number of participants, I think. Having a separate WB day as on DoT, makes for a nice warm up match!

WB is catching up momentum, but for how long have people out there been shooting WB? Up here in Finland, there has been 1-2 WB matches annually arranged since 2005, usually as a side match.  Rules used have been pretty much CAS main match rules, applied to semi-auto pistol. Also other guns from WB movie used to be allowed (side/side shotgun, double action revolvers), but now that there are SASS rules, we are shooting WB according to them.
